I truly appreciate you being so clear about the stabilizer. I just started embroidery and I have been collecting every type of stabilizer but I just don’t know when to use each.

Did I miss something? I know you cut the zipper length but Did you sew over the zipper teeth when you sewed the flange???

I use monofilament thread on appliqué. I use it on my machine binding also. The quilts are used and washed often and they are fine.

So using the right needle as opposed to the left will give the scant 1/4 inch seam...? If you used the 4 thread (ie including the left needle) wouldn't that give a stronger seam though as it's classed as what used to be known as the safety-lock, or am I just looking at it too in depth here
